The MSV valve disc is a core control component installed in the high-pressure steam inlet system of thermal power, gas, and combined-cycle turbines. It works closely with the valve stem and actuator to adjust the opening of the main steam valve, thereby controlling the volume of high-pressure steam entering the turbine cylinder. This component is critical for matching turbine output with grid load demands—it ensures stable turbine operation during startup, load changes, and rated working conditions, and prevents over-speed or load fluctuations caused by steam flow surges.   • High-Precision Regulation Performance: Adopts a streamlined curved surface design optimized through fluid dynamics simulation to achieve linear control of steam flow. It covers a full opening range of 0-100% to meet the turbine's load demands from idle speed to rated output. The valve disc's movement is driven by a high-sensitivity actuator, with a response time of less than 0.5 seconds to control system commands—ensuring rapid adjustment of turbine speed and load without overshoot, and maintaining stable operation under grid load changes.
  • Superior High-Temperature and High-Pressure Resistance: Fabricated from high-quality heat-resistant alloy steels such as 20Cr1Mo1V, 2Cr12NiMo1W1V, and 20Cr3MoWVA. These materials can maintain structural stability in high-temperature environments up to 600°C and high-pressure conditions exceeding 18MPa. All blanks undergo strict quenching and tempering heat treatment—raising the material's tensile strength to over 800MPa and impact toughness to above 40J/cm², effectively resisting creep deformation under long-term high-temperature operation and extending the valve disc’s service life to more than 10 years.
  • Enhanced Wear-Resistant & Sealing Design: The sealing surface of the valve disc is treated with plasma spraying or hard chrome plating to achieve a surface hardness of HRC 50-55, reducing wear caused by repeated opening and closing. The disc's edge is designed with a multi-step sealing structure that fits tightly with the valve seat—preventing high-pressure steam leakage when the valve is fully closed and avoiding energy loss and valve seat erosion.
